In 2003, two companies — Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd and Kubota Corporation — merged to form Kubota Matsushitadenko Exterior Works, Ltd (KMEW). The company’s headquarters are located in Osaka, Japan, and production of fiber cement facade panels is carried out at five factories, with an annual output of 42 million m².
Today, KMEW holds a leading position in the Japanese market. Out of thirteen domestic manufacturers of this material, KMEW ranks first, with a 35% market share.
